Fox’s are very fortunate to currently be involved with two beautiful Sparkman and Stephens yachts.
Built in 1963, the 38ft S&S Finistere Yawl Toccata has been a regular visitor to Fox’s, undergoing various maintenance and upgrades. This year we are delighted to be fitting complete new wooden spars, supplied by Noble Masts. All the timber used is handpicked by Noble to guarantee quality, prior to being machined and bonded to produce their patent, light weight hollow spars. To complement the new masts, Fox’s are designing and fabricating all the stainless steel mast fittings and hardware. Following extensive varnishing by her enthusiastic owners, Toccata has just been relaunched in preparation for re-rigging.
Fox’s recently assisted with the repatriation of a second S&S Classic from Nelson, South Island New Zealand to the UK. Built in 1965, 39ft Sunstone has an impressive racing record with her previous owners, who then cruised her extensively across the Atlantic and Pacific. Fox’s coordinated the shipping of Sunstone to her new home in the UK with the help of Seven Star Yacht Transport. She is now afloat, re-rigged and undergoing recommissioning at Fox’s, prior to some cruising back home in UK waters.
