Light Horse, the classic Nicholson 43 with a storied heritage as the Lloyds Bank boat and previously named Dark Horse, recently underwent a comprehensive transformation at Fox’s. The project aimed to restore her timeless elegance while upgrading her engineering and deck systems for modern performance and reliability.
Work Undertaken:
- Deck and Superstructure: Complete removal of the old deck and fittings; installation of a brand-new cork deck.
- Exterior Finish: Topsides resprayed in a striking navy blue, replacing her former grey.
- Engineering Upgrades: Installation of a new Nanni diesel engine and updated stern gear.
- Refinements: Full attention to detail in craftsmanship, ensuring a balance of classic design and modern standards.

Light Horse emerged from the refit looking better than ever, combining her iconic Nicholson 43 lines with high-quality materials and engineering. After her relaunch, she was carefully loaded onto transport destined for the Algarve and ready for her next chapter at sea.
