Meet John Scullion, the man at the helm of Fox's esteemed rigging team.
John is another long-stay at Fox's with 15 years under his belt. Previously a bike mechanic, he joined Fox's as a Trainee Rigger and worked his way up to Supervisor and then Manager of a busy team of five. There is very little he doesn't know about masts and rigging!
John runs the department's day-to-day operations, managing everything from buying materials to creating custom rope packages. A large percentage of Fox's rigging work is for Oyster Yachts, having provided the rigging for almost every new Oyster for over 30 years. In John's time, he has overseen the rigging of hundreds of Oysters!
He still loves the hands-on part of his job: taking a selection of rigging parts, putting them together, and then seeing them speeding down the river at 10 knots on a sea trial.
With two young kids and DIY projects at home, John doesn't have much spare time on his hands, but he enjoys tinkering with bikes and is a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
