Meet Darryn Bowdler, he’s likely to be the face behind any financial transactions you may have had with the Fox’s Marina & Boatyard and Fox’s Chandlery.
Darryn, our Accounts Assistant started at Fox’s in 2016 after 12 years working in the finance department of Oyster Yachts, where he worked under Mark Underwood who has been Fox’s Group Financial Director for the last 7 years. The duo make quite a team and Mark affectionately calls Darryn ‘The Boy’ in reference to Darryn starting work with Mark as a young boy (although Darryn claims he was actually 24!)
Born and bred in Suffolk Darryn has always worked in an accounts and finance environment. Aside from crunching numbers, he enjoys being part of the closely knit Foxs accounts team of three. They not only work well together but also have fun and share a love of football (specifically ITFC).
When asked if he sails Darryn replies “Boats are nice to look at but I don’t really have any interest in sailing”. He prefers to spend his time on terra firma, watching and playing football or indulging his post-pandemic love of running… and also spending time with his new wife Laura! Darryn and Laura got married last weekend and I’m sure you will join us in wishing them both the very best (we hope she likes Football!)
