Following recent updates from British Marine and confirmation from Harwich Haven Authority that the waters of the Haven are now open for boating, we are pleased to confirm that Fox’s Marina will start relaunching vessels from Monday 18th May.
The Government has confirmed that; “All forms of water sports practised on open waterways, including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing, kayaking, surfing, paddle-boarding and the use of privately owned motorised craft (in line with the guidance issued by the relevant navigation authority) are allowed”. Our interpretation of current guidelines is as follows;
- Day trips to outdoor spaces are allowed and on that basis Fox’s Marina and Boatyard is open and welcomes all customers.
- Day sailing is permitted with members of the same household, but overnight stays on-board are not allowed.
The Outlook Café, Bar & Bistro will remain closed until further notice. However the marina toilets will be available for private access via Fox’s Harbour Master who can be contacted on on 07706 435711, 7 days a week, between 08.00 -16.30
Please help us to provide a safe, healthy place for all our customers and staff;
- If you have any symptoms at all please do not visit Fox’s Marina.
- Maintain social distancing of at least two metres between yourself and anyone on the dock and around the yard.
- Minimise what you touch and wash your hands on a regular basis.
- We ask anyone on site with Covid-19 related concerns to contact the Harbour Master.
