This 20-year-old Oyster 66, left Fox's looking like new after undergoing what we would class a 'mini-refit' albeit by no means a minor undertaking.
This classic Oyster with her original teak interior is a perfect example of what our talented team at Fox’s is capable of. The list of reft includes:
- Service of retractable hydraulic bow thruster
- Preparation of hull bottom/appendages and re-application of Coppercoat
- Fuel tank clean and upgrades to fuel delivery systems
- Service of hydraulic systems and associated hoses
- New domestic and start batteries
- Engine and generator work/servicing
- De-rigging and disassembly of the mast to allow shot blasting to bright metal and complete recoat in Awlgrip
- Reassembly of spars with new electrics and all new rod rigging & fittings
Fox's lead riggers, John and Josh, were onboard for sail trials, and by all accounts, the owner is delighted with the boat's transformation. The boat has now set sail for Portugal/southern Spain, where the owner plans to live onboard with his young family. We wish them all the best for wonderful adventures ahead.
