Meet Summer, our Rigging and Electronics Purchaser and a fairly new team addition. Despite being with us for just four months, Summer has grasped the ins and outs of Fox's so seamlessly that it seems like she has always been part of the family.
Summer's role involves ensuring smooth operations of the rigging and electronics department; in her words, she "joins the dots" between ordering, liaising with suppliers and invoicing. When asked about her first impressions of Fox's, she replied, "Everyone was so welcoming and enthusiastic, I felt very at ease straight away, and immediately knew I could be myself."
Summer has some valuable marine experience behind her, mainly from the slightly more glamourous world of crewing on superyachts, and travelling the world on motor and sailing yachts. She moved land-based to be near family and her two horses but knew she wanted to stay within the marine industry (putting aside secret aspirations to be a weather girl!)
Like most staff at Fox's, Summer spends her leisure time on the water. She is currently learning to dinghy sail with the help of some colleagues. Moreover, she has recently purchased her own boat, a little Dory, which she plans to use for waterskiing.
