Meet Josh, one of our skilled Production Riggers. Josh has worked at Fox’s for two years and although one of the younger members of the team, he has a whole heap of marine experience and is a natural sailor, having worked previously at Evolution Rigging and prior to that as a sailing instructor both in the UK and abroad.
A large proportion of Josh’s work involves new Oyster Yachts – building the rigs, making new standing, and running rigging and undertaking commissioning sea trials. Alongside that, he works on all Fox’s larger refit projects inspecting and refitting rigging. Josh’s energy and enthusiasm for rigging is infectious… he even manages to make die-testing sound intriguing!
Josh always knew he wanted to work with boats, he says “if you can combine your job with something you enjoy, life is definitely sweeter!” Until recently he even lived on a boat in the marina with his dog Rocky, who is also a very important member of the Fox’s rigging team.
It's no surprise that out of work Josh will be found sailing or windsurfing. He is currently preparing for this year’s Fastnet Race, where he will be a key crew member aboard the Fox’s based Sparkman & Stephens classic, Sunstone.
