Meet our Marina Assistant Duncan, who will be familiar to many of you having been a face about Fox’s boatyard for 22 years.
Having spent most of his life sailing, teaching sailing or working on boats it feels like Duncan must have saltwater running through his veins. With Ocean Yachtmaster and Yachtmaster Instructor qualifications and previous jobs that include Chief Instructor of Sail East and Commissioning Skipper for Oyster Yachts, your boat couldn’t be in safer hands.
Duncan describes his job role modestly as “object relocation”. But this encompasses all yard and marina boat movements in and out of the water. He enjoys the variety of the job and the fact that each day brings new challenges, one of the more significant being the recent haul out of the Oyster 885, the largest yacht that Fox’s has lifted.
It’s no surprise that outside of work, Duncan spends most of his spare time on the water, dinghy racing or sailing with his equally fanatical children and patient wife!
