Work on the refit, which includes significant modifications to the bow and stern of the Beneteau First 50, Bam Bam, is progressing well.
The new dreadnought bow profile and modified stern sections, incorporating a recessed bathing platform are complete and we are now installing a retractable hydraulic bow sprit assembly, prior to completing post curing, final fairing and topside repainting in stylish ‘Ford Performance Blue’.
In addition to this, Fox’s electronics engineers are fitting an all new and comprehensive B&G instrument/plotter package including large format 20/20 displays and the carbon spars are being stripped and repainted in satin black, prior to the installation of a new keel and rudder, re-rigging and commissioning.
