The classic Oyster 55, True Love, first launched at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard some 30 years ago and still in the same ownership, has recently completed a very comprehensive refit at Fox’s.
She is just one of several vintage Oyster 55’s that have returned to Fox’s for extensive refits after many years cruising the world’s oceans. Fox’s extensive knowledge of these superb yachts’ build and their systems ensures a first class restoration that allows their owners to enjoy many more years of cruising in safety and comfort.
The extensive refurbishment list on True Love included supplying and installing a new Yanmar engine, a complete service and reinstallation of her generator, repainting her topsides and underwater paintwork and replacement teak decks.
With her owner and skipper on board, final handover trials took place in sparkling conditions on the River Orwell. True Love is now on route to Scotland for the summer season and we look forward to her returning to Fox’s for winter storage later in the year.
