Launching and rigging a new Oyster 625 in the snow at Fox’s!

The ‘Beast from the East’ may have brought many areas of the UK to a standstill, but despite the heavy snowfall and bitingly cold temperatures, it’s business as usual here at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard today as our dedicated rigging and marina teams work hard to rig, launch and commission this beautiful new Oyster 625, Ruth II, ready for handover to her owners later in March.

With a cruising itinerary that will see her heading to the Mediterranean before she crosses the Atlantic to the Caribbean and then makes her way through the Panama Canal to the Pacific Ocean,  it will probably be the last time this lovely, bluewater cruising yacht will see snow on her decks like this for a while!

The team at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard has decades of experience in rigging, commissioning and preparing cruising yachts for ocean-going, bluewater adventures providing owners with peace of mind in the knowledge that their yacht, its systems and equipment are well-prepared. If you would like advice about making your own yacht ready for long distance cruising please get in touch, we will be happy to help.
