Result in ARC+ for Oyster 56 refitted at Fox’s

Congratulations to the owner and crew of the Oyster 56 Moana, who came third in Class A Cruising Division in the transatlantic leg of the World Cruising Club’s ARC+, from Mindelo in the Cape Verde Islands to Rodney Bay, St Lucia.

Moana was one of only a handful of yachts in the 72-boat fleet that sailed the entire way from Las Palmas in the Canary Islands to Rodney Bay. Moana’s crew included owners Steve and Jo Goodwin with their young son Freddie, Giles Birt and Ray Davies.

Moana is one of several Oyster yachts, which have had a refit at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard this year after changing ownership through Oyster Brokerage, whose UK sales office is based here at Fox’s Marina. Work carried out by Fox’s included new teak decks, respray of saloon windows and surrounds; conversion of the previous workshop cabin to a twin bunk cabin; upgrade of electronic communications equipment; general service work and preparation for the ARC+.
