Christmas might be round the corner, but we’re still working hard here at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard!

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s still all go here at Fox’s this week with a lot of activity in the yard and workshops planned right through to the year-end.

Oyster 575/43 arrived during the night and immediately went into the sprayshop for boot top paint work – with this work due to be turned around by the end of the year, prior to the yacht being rigged and commissioned at Fox’s. The Fox’s sprayshop is on a tight schedule and is now fully committed for the next four months.

Across the workshops and refit bays, we have a growing order book stretching well into next season, with a variety of projects already under cover, including a local RHYC Ajax, Aphrodite 29, Oyster 56, Oyster 485, Discovery 67 and Oyster 406, all of which are undergoing various refit work, including two completely new, beautiful teak decks. These will be joined in the New Year by a Shipman 63 carbon performance yacht, which has also just arrived at Fox’s for significant refit work. Our marine engineering, electronics, stainless fabrication and rigging departments are all working at capacity.

The marina team has been working tirelessly throughout the wintry weather of the last few weeks, often under floodlights, with winter haul and layups continuing at a pace. We’ve seen various interesting vessels coming ashore for the winter including Maid Marion, a Dunkirk little ship, which comes to Fox’s every year for loading to transport and Samphire, a beautiful Swan 37, has arrived for various ongoing upgrades.
