Vagabond of Bosham refit completed at Fox’s

High quality, British built cruising yachts have been something of a theme here at Fox’s Marina and Boatyard this summer, with a number of experienced owners entrusting Fox’s with their refits.

Most recent to leave the workshop is Vagabond of Bosham, a well-travelled Bowman 40, recently purchased by Nick and Liz King.

Having visited Fox’s for the installation of self-steering gear with their previous yacht, and impressed by Fox’s capabilities and friendly atmosphere, Nick and Liz were confident in returning to the yard with their new yacht.

When Nick and Liz found Vagabond, she was lying in the South of France having been mothballed ashore for four years. Previous to this, she had completed at least one extended circumnavigation. Her time spent baking in the Mediterranean sun and crossing the world’s oceans had taken its toll. Although fundamentally sound, a little TLC was definitely in order.

After arriving at Fox’s by truck in early June, the work soon began to progress, the aim being to get Vagabond back in shape and re-commissioned in-time for some end of season sailing.
