With experience of working with the best marine surveyors and major insurance companies, we have a solid reputation for any insurance and damage repairs to GRP and composites.
We are a specialist osmosis, Coppercoat and epoxy treatment centre, as well as experts in composite repairs, no matter how extensive they may be. Our professional, personalised service is designed to work around you so, if you can’t make it to our boatyard, our mobile team will come to you – wherever you are.
It’s only natural that, over time, gelcoat will be affected by fading caused by UV and seawater damage. But the good news is that gelcoat chalking and damage can be easily repaired through a process of compound buffing and the application of a protective wax finish. Alternatively, if the damage is more severe, the gelcoat can initially be wet flatted or cut back, prior to polishing. Ultimately, when the time comes, gelcoat can be re-applied or over painted using the latest in two-pack paint finishes.
Our specialist team are highly experienced when it comes to gelcoat repairs, including damage caused by stress cracks, scuffs, scrapes, gouges, thin gel, air bubbles, and more. No matter how big or small the damage to your vessel’s gelcoat, we are fully equipped to achieve the best possible match and finish on gelcoat and painted surfaces.
Fox’s Marina & Boatyard is one of the leading boatyards in the country when it comes to eradicating osmosis and hull blistering problems. We were an early pioneer of the Hot Vac system, which offers optimised drying times to ensure that your boat is back on the water as quickly as possible.
To give you ultimate peace of mind, all of our Osmosis epoxy bottom treatments come complete with a five-year guarantee. Our multi-skilled, in-house team also offers a number of other protective solutions for your hull, including hull blasting, antifouling and Coppercoat.
Accidents afloat can and do happen and owners/skippers are often upset when their pride and joy has suffered damage. Thankfully, boats can nearly always be repaired and Fox’s has developed an enviable reputation for doing just that.
Whether you require a gelcoat scratch to be repaired and colour matched, a composite repair to fractured laminate, or a combination of trades to deal with more serious damage affecting various parts of a vessel in a range of materials – Fox’s is here to help.
We will happily travel, inspect and access the damage and, working with owners and their insurance provider, do our utmost to provide a prompt and hassle free solution.
