Fox’s Rigging were called upon recently to install a Bamar Roll-Gen gennaker furler with a custom bowsprit for an Oyster 575 in Gran Canaria.
The Bamar Roll-Gen allows easy deployment and furling of a cruising gennaker. The beauty of this system means no sail alterations have to be made, also the sail doesn’t have to be designed and built to fit a Roll-Gen. Once in place the furling and unfurling operation can be carried out comfortably and safely from the aft deck, removing the perils of hoisting and retrieving at sea.
