CWind Alliance arrives at Fox’s for antifouling work

CWind Alliance has just arrived at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard and is pictured on her way to the blast bay for the removal of her existing underwater coatings. She will go undercover for specialist hull preparation by the Fox’s team before re-coating using Hempels Silic One, a biocide free silicone antifouling, which cures by air humidity.

CWind Alliance is part of a fleet of proven MPC 19 resin-infused composite vessels operated by CWind, part of the Global Marine Group, delivering topside, splash zone and subsea engineering services to the offshore renewables and utilities market. The vessel uses a moveable wheelhouse and modular three-section pod system enabling her to perform multiple functions including crew transfer, refuelling, dive support and full O&M support. The modular pod design offers exciting operational flexibility as well as enhanced deck space options. At 18.5m LOA and 6.5m beam she requires careful handling by the experienced Fox’s Marina team who will be working hard to get her back into service as quickly as possible.
