Fox’s sponsors Woolverstone Project’s Cruising Conference

WE DO MEAN TO GO TO SEA…

Fox’s Marina & Boatyard was delighted to be asked to support this exciting, new event in the yachting calendar, that’s happening right here in Suffolk in 2018!

Organised jointly by the Woolverstone Project and the Cruising Association and supported by Fox’s and the Royal Harwich Yacht Club, the event takes place on Sunday 11 March 2018 and will be held at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.

Aimed at inspiring yachtsmen of all ambitions and abilities to get more out of their cruising, the conference will include keynote speeches from prominent sailors, including Paul Heiney, cruising skills workshops and practical demonstrations run by industry professionals, including the team from Fox’s who will be providing seminars on ‘Rigging your boat’, ‘Using and splicing modern ropes’ and ‘Getting the best from your instruments’.

With all the profits from the event going to support the work of the Woolverstone Project in providing sailing opportunities for those with disabilities, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your cruising skills whilst helping others less fortunate to enjoy the benefits of getting afloat.

MORE ABOUT THE WOOLVERSTONE PROJECT

The Woolverstone Project (Charity No: 1046098) was originally set up by the Royal Harwich Yacht Club in 1993 and became a separate charity in 1995. The Project provides sailing opportunities and tuition for those with disabilities with sailing throughout the year at Alton Water and during the summer months at Woolverstone on the River Orwell. We have been providing sailing opportunities for over 20 years and this is all done with the enthusiastic support of over 60 volunteers. We have a fleet of 22 boats – all adapted so that they can be sailed by anyone, whatever their disability. The Woolverstone Project Patron is Paul Heiney.
