Fox’s assists Services Sail Training Yacht

Fox’s had the pleasure of assisting the Joint Services Adventurous Sail Training yacht HMSTC Kukri, for some emergency work to a leaking stern gland while she was on passage from Ipswich to St Katharine Docks in London.

Usually berthed at Gosport, HMSTC Kukri, a Nicolson 55, provides sail training opportunities for members of the Armed Forces and was off Canvey Island when the problem occurred. Her skipper quickly discovered that Fox’s was the only facility within 180 miles capable of providing the necessary lifting and engineering services.

HMSTC Kukri’s Skipper, Chris Sumner, commented:

“Fox’s reputation for a highly professional and efficient service was fully justified during the lift out and repair of HMSTC KUKRI. I can’t thank the Fox’s team enough for the speed at which the repair was fixed so that we could get underway again.”
