Fox’s appointed as a Service Partner for the 2017-19 Oyster World Rally

As a longstanding service partner of Oyster Yachts, Fox’s Marina & Boatyard has been appointed as a Service Partner for the forthcoming Oyster World Rally, which sets sail from Antigua in January 2017.

Following Fox’s recent presentation and instructional seminar for Oyster owners taking part in the rally, which covered the basics of practical rigging maintenance at sea, splicing and rope work, the experienced team from Fox’s Rigging will be on hand at key stopovers to provide complimentary rig inspections and advice for the Oyster World Rally fleet as they sail around the world.

Fox’s Managing Director, Will Taylor-Jones, said: “Fox’s is proud to be part of the Oyster World Rally support team. Fox’s has been closely involved with Oyster Yachts for over 30 years, with the majority of the Oyster yachts taking part in this event and the first Oyster World Rally having been commissioned at Fox’s and rigged by the Fox’s Rigging team. Fox’s has carried out a number of large refits on various Oyster yachts over the years, several of which have been in preparation for extensive blue water cruising.”

Sarah Harmer, Oyster’s World Rally Event Manager, commented: “We are delighted to have Fox’s continued support for the Oyster World Rally; the Fox’s team were fantastic over the seminar weekend and it will be reassuring for our owners to have the benefit of a professional rig inspection before they set out from Antigua and after each long ocean passage.“

With 33 Oyster yachts, ranging from an Oyster 45 to the new Oyster 885, set to take part, this second Oyster Rally follows the hugely successful inaugural Oyster World Rally, which took place from January 2013 to April 2014.
