East Anglian Offshore Regatta
Fox’s was pleased to take the role of Title Sponsor for the all-new Offshore Regatta of the East Anglian Offshore Racing Association (EAORA), part of the EAORA 2013 ten-race series.
The three-day event, which saw the 18-strong fleet sail a 200-mile triangular course around the southern North Sea, set out from Harwich on 27 June with Race 1 to Ramsgate. Race 2 from Ramsgate to Ostend was followed by a lay day in Ostend, before Race 3 saw the fleet head back to Harwich on 30 June.
Prize vouchers, donated by Fox’s Marine and Outdoor, were presented to the winners at the prize giving held at the Haven Ports Yacht Club.
Overall winner under IRC was Stan Fenton and Nigel Cook’s Fay-J, with Tony and Chuffy Merewether’s Amazon second and Iain Kirkpatrick’s Fatjax third.
Felixstowe Regatta
The annual Felixstowe Regatta, held over 13-14 July, was also sponsored by Fox’s and was, as usual, well supported. Jointly organized by Haven Ports YC, Royal Harwich YC and Walton & Frinton YC, the regatta comprised a series of short course inshore races, which were sailed in light airs. Overall winner was Stuart Howell’s First Kiss with Ian Pavey’s Katla second and Nigel Mower’s Juniper of Ore third.
Fox’s, which has been a long time supporter of East Coast sailing, is very pleased to support these events.
