Here at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard, we have a state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled sprayshop, which is fully equipped to paint vessels up to 72 feet in length. Whether we’re working on topsides or superstructures, our specialist paint and finish team go above and beyond to achieve finishes of the highest possible standard.
In addition to painting, we also offer a number of high performance finishes and services, such as epoxy and gelcoat application, varnishing, antifouling, Coppercoat and other underwater options. As well as our on-site sprayshop and finishing services, we also offer a mobile service – so if you can’t make it to us, we’ll come to you. We’re proud to be an approved spray centre for Awlgrip, Hempel and International Paints and, in addition to bringing older, faded topsides back to life, regularly spray new Oyster and Gunfleet yachts to the most exacting standards.
Our clean, contemporary in-house sprayshop and finishing department can cater for yachts and boats up to 72ft in length. This environmentally controlled facility boats state-of-the-art features, such as temperature/humidity control, dust extraction, and zoned lighting, to ensure that our highly skilled sprayers and finishers achieve the best possible finish every time.
Awlgrip is a leading supplier of topside finishing systems that not only protect your yacht, but, correctly applied, also look stunning. No matter how big or small your yacht, Awlgrip’s topside finishing systems provide a unique and unmistakable Awlgrip look. The range includes topcoats, undercoats, primers and fillers.

Varnish that is not well maintained will easily fall victim to damage and flaking at the hands of the sun’s harsh UV rays. If you don’t keep on top of your vessel’s varnishing, you could well find that you need to undertake a much more extensive job, stripping the wood right back and having to apply multiple brand new coats of varnish.
At Fox’s, we are perfectly placed to provide high quality varnishing services to vessels of all sizes. Our highly skilled and professional painting team will ensure that your boat or yacht not only looks striking, but also that it’s robustly protected from the elements. Dedicated to offering an all-encompassing, world-class service, we can also remove any old varnish and restore old wood before applying the new varnish of your choice.
Marine growth effects boat speed, manoeuvrability and fuel consumption.
However different antifouling products offer varying levels of protection depending on the location. Fox’s can offer any of the leading brands and assist with experienced advice on the best type of antifouling to suit each application.
As an authorised application centre for Hempel, International and Awlgrip, we offer a wide range of antifoul options for your yacht or boat. Using only the very best marine paint brands and calling upon years of experience, you can rest assured that we’ll deliver a high quality finish. Our multi-skilled, in-house team can also provide an extensive range of additional complementary services, including painting, varnishing and hull blasting.
Are you tired of antifouling your boat each and every year? Coppercoat offers a solution. The strongest, most durable, copper-based antifouling available, Coppercoat is a hard wearing, densely copper filled epoxy resin that provides a high level of antifouling and minimal maintenance, for up to a decade or more, with just a single treatment.
As a leading Coppercoat specialist, you can rest assured that Fox’s multi-skilled, in-house team is highly trained and experienced when it comes to the application of Coppercoat coatings. Our sprayshop and finishing team can successfully apply Coppercoat to virtually all vessels, regardless of their size or usage.
Hull blasting allows us to efficiently remove paint from any surface, from complete hull topside and bottoms, rudder blades, rusty/flaking keel castings to individual components.
Metal fittings can be cleaned up for longer lasting coatings or given attractive bead blasted finish, and delicate timbers quickly and carefully stripped.
An alloy hull with detached coatings requires a different approach to a delicate timber classic requiring antifoul removal. With highly experienced operators, we can offer a range of blasting services to suit any application, be it timber, GRP, steel or alloy.
