Wind Farm Support
Refit, repairs & 24/7 support
Here at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard, we provide professional yard services to an increasing number of wind farm support and crew transfer vessels operating in the North Sea and English Channel.
Over recent years, we’ve seen an increasing demand for repairs and refits on wind farm transfer vessels, particularly on the latest generation of both alloy and composite catamarans. With the capacity to lift these high-speed support vessels, as well as a 24/7 service for emergency repairs and engine/stern gear servicing, we are the preferred port of call for wind farm vessels in need of urgent support. We understand that, for commercial vessels, fast turn around is of the upmost importance, which is why we go above and beyond to ensure that every wind farm support vessel is back up and running asap — usually within 24 hours.

Fox’s is able to offer refit, and repair services to Pilot, Harbour patrol and associated operators with the capacity to meet most applications, including salvage and towing requirements. All commercial projects are allocated a project manager to coordinate communication between the client and our hands-on department managers. This allows us to offer the best advice based on knowledge, and bring innovative solutions alongside clear and transparent quotations.

MCA Coding
For charter or commercial activities
Fox’s can advise and arrange for MCA inspection and assist with compliance and equipment supply.
Vessels in commercial use for sport or pleasure must be compliant with the relevant Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) Code of Practice. The MCA code of practice details both the equipment a vessel must carry on board and the certificate of competence required by the skipper. Depending on the usage, periodic inspection of the vessel, systems and its equipment will be required.
Whether you are running a sailing school or fleet of commercial vessels, considering chartering your private yacht or simply need advice on the various requirements, Fox’s can help. Working alongside experienced and qualified MCA surveyors, we can advise and arrange for inspection, assist with achieving compliance and organise the supply of relevant safety equipment.
