The Broom 37 Simona arrived at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard with a severe case of Osmosis, affecting much of the bottom laminate.
The original moulding was substantial and remained structurally sound, but the time had come for a complete underwater treatment, including peeling of the gelcoat, followed by light blasting to expose any remaining blisters.
Following thorough washing and rinsing and a period of drying, the bottom was ready to be filled and faired with epoxy fillers, prior to sealing with solvent free epoxy and finishing with the popular Coppercoat antifouling system.
Simona’s owners were delighted by the service and experience they received at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard.
