With the Fox’s workshops a hive of activity in preparation for a flurry of spring launches, Wiki Wiki, an Oyster 575 recently sold by Oyster Brokerage, is one such project demanding much of the attention and skills of the team at Fox’s. The new owners, who are from California, are preparing for a busy summer sailing programme and, with the support of yacht management partner, Pearl Global Yacht Services, Wiki Wiki will be heading for the Mediterranean. On route they intend to cruise the Solent, West Country and take part in the ARC Rally Portugal, which departs from Plymouth on 5 June.
In preparation for their launch deadline and busy sailing schedule, Fox’s is pulling out the stops and all our departments are involved in this refit project. Fox’s rigging is supplying and installing a bespoke carbon bowsprit; our workshops are tending to varnish work, re-bedding a number of deck fittings and applying a fresh coat of antifouling; the Fox’s engineering team will be busy extending the air conditioning system and carrying out routine service works. To complete the circle, Fox’s electronics will be giving the yacht’s AC and DC, electrical systems a thorough overhaul.
With such a broad and diverse work list, Wiki Wiki is the perfect project to highlight the benefits of Fox’s as a full service boatyard where all the skills required to complete the refit are located in house and on one site.
