Classic Fife, Kismet, gets race ready at Fox’s

The classic wooden Fife, Kismet, built by the Fairlie yard in Scotland in 1898, is a familiar sight at the Fox’s yard, where she is currently undergoing refit work ahead of taking part in the SYH Classic Regatta on the River Orwell in June. In her 120th year, Kismet has undergone various refit work at Fox’s since her relaunch in 2009 following her complete restoration, and is seen here having her rudder removed. Work carried out by the Fox’s team includes a complete bottom re-coat, varnish work and rigging. In July, Kismet will participate in the Panerai British Classic Regatta in Cowes and in September will travel by road to the South of France to take part in the Cannes, Régates Royales followed by the Voiles de Saint-Tropez.
