The 15m aluminium survey support vessel, LIA, is operated by Liverpool based Bibby HydroMap, one of the leading providers of hydrographic and geophysical surveys in the UK and Northern Europe.
LIA was engaged in survey work off the East Coast, when she developed problems with a leaking stern gland. The vessel made an emergency call in to Fox’s for a haul out to deal with the problem and arrived at the marina around 1800 hrs. Less than 24 hours later, Fox’s relaunched the vessel and she was able to return to her survey work.
