Ocean Youth Trust North’s sail training ketch arrives for refit
The Ocean Youth Trust North’s sail training ketch, James Cook, has arrived at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard in Ipswich where she will undergo an extensive refit over the coming winter months. Work will include welding to her 70’ LOA, 54 tonne steel hull, a full repaint, marine engineering, marine electronics work and rigging. She will be relaunched in spring 2018 ready for a busy summer season.
James Cook is one of two Shipwright 70 sail training vessels built by apprentices on the Tyne and launched some 30 years ago.
