Bespoke storage crate solution for Queen’s Award customer

Do you have too many toys?

Need somewhere to stow your 15m inflatable slide?

The brief from our customer, Superyacht Tender & Toys, who has just won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise, was to design and manufacture a bespoke storage crate to house a 15m inflatable slide, whilst not looking out of place on one of the world’s most luxurious superyachts.

The finished crate is a an aesthetically pleasing combination of polished stainless, white composite panels and quarter sawn teak decking finished with striking grey caulking. Sharp mitres and discrete shadow gaps add to the overall quality look.

The entire unit runs on braked, stainless castors, mounted on a sturdy stainless chassis with lashing points for safe stowage. The side panels are fully demountable, allowing for both easy packing and complete access from any side, built around a free draining, teak-slatted floor. The storage crate will be stowed on the deck of a 60m superyacht and therefore detailing and finish was critical.

This prestigious project is a fine example of how the multiple departments at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard and our experienced in house design and production team are ideally placed to offer bespoke solutions for almost any application.
