World Cruising Yacht, Odern, Returns to Fox’s

Following extensive refit work at Fox’s in 2015, including electronics and communication system upgrades, work to deck gear and paint finishes, the offshore motor yacht, Odern, returned to Fox’s this Spring for a complete strip and recoating of her underwater surfaces and engineering service work.

The original bottom finishes were blasted off and the hull sanded prior to recoating with solvent free epoxy, fillers and re-antifouling.  The stern gear was cleaned up prior to being treated with Propspeed and the ships dynamic stabilizer system overhauled.

Built by Norman Wright & Sons in Brisbane, Australia, this offshore capable yacht was built in composite epoxy to comply with offshore survey requirements, including watertight bulkheads, storm boards and emergency bilge pumping systems.

Since leaving Australia in 2009, Odern has undertaken an amazing voyage, which includes crossing the Pacific; cruising Alaska; transiting the Panama Canal and visiting Colombia and the Caribbean and exploring the east coast of the USA as far as Newfoundland, before crossing the Atlantic and arriving in the UK in 2015. We are privileged to have her return here to Fox’s.
